Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Grime Fighters Pressure Washing LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By booking our pressure washing services, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully to understand your rights and responsibilities.

2. Scope of Services

We provide residential and commercial pressure washing services, including but not limited to cleaning driveways, sidewalks, patios, decks, building exteriors, and other surfaces. Specific services and areas to be cleaned will be agreed upon during the consultation and booking process.

3. Client's Responsibilities

3.1 Access to Property

  • Ensure that our team has clear and unobstructed access to all areas requiring service. This includes gates, fences, and any locked areas.
  • We require access to an outdoor water source to perform our services. Please ensure that water access is functioning and that hoses are available if needed.
  • Provide gate codes and any other access required to perform the job. The customer must be home at the time of service unless otherwise agreed upon.

3.2 Preparation of Service Area

  • Remove all outdoor furniture, vehicles, decorations, and any other movable items from the areas to be serviced unless otherwise agreed upon. We can assist with this for an additional fee. While we exercise care, we are not responsible for any damage or misplaced items.
  • Ensure all windows and doors are securely closed to prevent water from entering the interior of your property. We are not liable for water damage caused by improperly sealed or closed windows and doors.
  • Secure all pets indoors or away from the work area during service for their safety and ours.

3.3 Pre-existing Conditions

  • We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or conditions of surfaces that may become more apparent after cleaning. This includes, but is not limited to, peeling paint, cracked surfaces, or underlying rot.
  • Clients should notify us of any known issues or vulnerabilities with surfaces to be cleaned prior to the service.

4. Third-Party Contractors

We may use subcontractors or third-party contractors to perform some or all of the services. By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you authorize us to hire and delegate work to such third parties as necessary to complete the job.

5. Our Responsibilities

5.1 Service Quality

We strive to deliver high-quality cleaning services and will make reasonable efforts to meet your expectations. If there are any issues with the service provided, please contact us within 72 hours of completion, and we will address your concerns promptly.

We use professional-grade equipment and cleaning solutions that are effective yet safe for most surfaces. However, due to the nature of pressure washing, some surfaces may be sensitive, and while we will exercise caution, we cannot guarantee that no damage will occur.

5.2 Safety

Our team follows all necessary safety protocols to protect both your property and our workers. Please take steps to minimize hazards by securing any loose items and informing us of any potential risks.

We will use proper coverings and take necessary precautions to protect pets and sensitive areas from chemicals.

6. Estimates and Quotations

  • Validity of Quotes: Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued. After this period, prices may change based on current rates and conditions.
  • Unexpected Charges: If unexpected conditions or additional work are discovered during the service, these will be included in the final invoice. If the additional costs are significant, we will seek your approval before proceeding.

7. Change Orders

Scope Changes: Any changes to the agreed-upon scope of work must be documented and confirmed via email, written agreement, or recorded phone call. Additional charges resulting from these changes will be communicated and billed accordingly.

8. Deposits and Payments

8.1 Deposits

A deposit may be required for certain services, particularly for commercial jobs. For residential, this deposit is non-refundable if the service is canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled date. Commercial deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise stated on estimates/quotes due to nature of job size. If we need to reschedule due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, your deposit will be applied to the new service date.

8.2 Payment Terms

Payment in full is expected upon completion of the service. We accept cash, checks, credit cards, and online payments via Stripe and PayPal.

Late payments may incur a fee of 1.5% per month (18% annually) on the outstanding balance, as permitted by Ohio law.

Invoices will be provided via email or in person upon completion of the service. Please review your invoice carefully and contact us immediately if there are any discrepancies.

9. Non-Payment and Late Fees

  • Late Payment Fees: A late fee of 1.5% per month will be applied to past due invoices.
  • Collections: Unpaid invoices more than 180 days overdue may be sent to collections, with the client responsible for any additional costs incurred.

10. Limitations of Liability

  • Maximum Liability: Our liability is capped at the total amount paid for the service.
  • Consequential Damages: We are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, including but not limited to, loss of business, loss of use, or any other incidental damages arising from the service.

11. Force Majeure

Unforeseen Events: We are not liable for delays or failure to perform services due to events beyond our control, including natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, strikes, or other unforeseen circumstances.

12. Cancellation by the Company

We reserve the right to cancel services if we determine that the work environment is unsafe or if the client fails to cooperate or provide necessary access to the property. In such cases, you may be issued a refund, or the appointment may be rescheduled, depending on the severity of the issue.

13. Client Responsibilities for Safety

Safety Hazards: Clients must notify us of any potential safety hazards that could affect the service. We will take necessary precautions, but we require your cooperation to ensure a safe working environment.

14. Warranty and Service Limitations

Service Warranty: We offer a 72-hour window for clients to report any issues with the service. We will revisit and address concerns within this period at no additional charge. After 72 hours, any further visits or corrections will be subject to additional charges.

Excluded Surfaces or Conditions: The warranty does not cover surfaces that are inherently prone to damage due to their condition, age, or prior treatments.

15. Customer Cooperation

  • Rescheduling Fees: A $50 rescheduling fee will apply after three reschedules. This fee applies to each additional reschedule beyond the third.
  • Trimming Vegetation: Clients are responsible for trimming vegetation to ensure clear access to the cleaning area. Failure to do so could result in damage to plants due to chemical exposure, even with precautions.

16. Dispute Escalation

  • Mediation and Arbitration: In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith mediation. If mediation fails, the dispute may be resolved through arbitration.
  • Attorney’s Fees: The prevailing party in a legal dispute may be entitled to recover attorney’s fees and costs.

17. Use of Photos and Testimonials

  • Marketing Use: We may take photos and videos on-site during the course of our work for documentation, marketing, and quality assurance purposes. These photos and videos will not include any identifying features without your explicit permission.
  • Problem Areas: We may also take photos before starting jobs to document any pre-existing conditions or problem areas. These are kept on file in case of disputes.
  • Client Reviews: We may reach out to clients after service to request reviews or testimonials on various platforms such as Google.

18. Privacy Policy

Data Collection and Use: By using our services, you agree to the terms outlined in our Privacy Policy, which can be reviewed at https://grimefightingteam.com/privacy. This includes consent to be contacted via email, phone, text, or social media messenger.

19. Acknowledgment

By booking our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service. This acknowledgment can be confirmed via text, email, or electronic signature as part of the booking process.

20. Service Areas

We provide services to the following areas in Ohio: North Canton, Jackson, Canton, Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, Green, Stow, Kent, Uniontown, and Hartville.

21. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
